Paschimuttanasana

  • ‘Paschim’ means West and refers to the western/ dorsal/ back side of the Body; ‘Uttan’ means extended. So, the dorsal or back part of the whole body (from head to toe) is stretched. The back part of the body is considered the western side, because you would be facing the Sun (making the front part of the body the eastern side)
