  • ‘Hala’ means Plough, so Plough Pose
  • It improves the blood circulation to the head and upper part of the body, which usually happens against gravity while we stand, sit through the day
  • It also stretches the neck muscles and also tones the abdominal organs, improving digestion
  • The effect of the chin nearly touching the chest positively impacts the Vagus nerve functioning, so that the parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated. This causes the lowering of the heart and breathing rate which are important for stress reduction
